The students from the Belarusian National Technical University undertook the pre-graduation internship at Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev.
The internship was organized on the basis of NNSTU Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering and Applied Physics as part of implementation of the personnel training program for the Belarusian nuclear power plant.
At the beginning of their visit to Nizhny Novgorod the students from Minsk met with Director of Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering and Applied Physics Maksim Legchanov. During their conversation the tasks of the pre-graduation internship were set, as well as the responsible from NNSTU in scientific areas - research on hydraulic characteristics of fuel assemblies on the aerodynamic stand, research on properties of heavy liquid metal coolants and thermocyclic research on resource properties of materials were defined.
For the guests from Belarus there was also organized a tour of the laboratories, where they got acquainted with the main areas of educational, research and production activities of the Institute.
The result of the pre-graduation internship of the students was learning of the basic thermal diagrams, technical characteristics, operation of the main and auxiliary equipment of nuclear power plants.
BNTU students expanded and systematized their knowledge gained in the study of special disciplines, as well as their practical application in research work.
