Science at NNSTU

NNSTU has a significant scientific and innovative potential covering almost the entire spectrum of industries of the industrial complex of the Nizhny Novgorod region and the Volga Federal District. The university takes part in work carried out within the framework of all the major competitions initiated by the Government of the Russian Federation.

The main areas of scientific research correspond to the strategy of scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation and the list of critical technologies of the Russian Federation and are concentrated in the field of nuclear power engineering, ground transport systems, mechanical engineering, electric power engineering, shipbuilding, chemistry, nanotechnologies, material science, radio electronics and radar systems, information and control systems, economic security.
