Mission

Ensuring of leading innovative, technological and social development of the Nizhny Novgorod region, training of highly qualified personnel, intellectual and entrepreneurial elite, conducting of scientific research at the world level, active participation in shaping industrial policy, education of young generation of Russian patriots.

Strategic goal

Leading of Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev in the Nizhny Novgorod region as a regional integrator of ''education-science-industry'' system, a center of entrepreneurial activity, youth policy, social responsibility, enlightenment, cultural and historical heritage.

Strategic objectives

Creating of conditions for NNSTU establishment as a base for regional entrepreneurial activity, increasing of efficiency of innovations' transfer, introducing of engineering infrastructure of high-tech industries.
Implementation of effective personnel policy, providing training, professional growth and consolidation of NNSTU young lecturers and scientists, attracting of leading world-class scientists and young promising researchers, transforming of the university into a center of attraction and development of personnel elite.
Ensuring of NNSTU sustainable development by introducing its proactive management model based on application of principles of process and project management focused on the fullest possible satisfaction of professional and creative interests of students and employees, rational using of available resources.
Development of mechanisms for effective use and development of NNSTU property complex and information and communication infrastructure aimed at meeting needs of development of educational and scientific activities, providing social support for students and employees.
Formation of NNSTU as an ''open university'', providing scientific, educational and socio-cultural development of local communities in the Nizhny Novgorod region.
Strengthening and development of strategic partnership with region authorities, local self-government, enterprises, organizations and institutions, public associations, civil society organizations in solving socio-economic problems and tasks of the region.
Active participation in implementation of regional youth policy, conducting of mass educational and cultural events.
Improving of the quality of engineering education, development and implementation of new bachelor's, master's, postgraduate education and further professional education programs providing advanced training in accordance with the Development Strategy of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Creation of centers of excellence and world-class research and development in priority areas defined in the Strategy for Scientific and Technological Development of the Russian Federation and in the framework of the National Technological Initiative - digital intelligent production technologies, environmentally friendly and resource-saving energy, development of national transport infrastructure, new materials and design technologies.
