The results of NNSTU international activities in 2020

Despite all the difficulties in 2020 Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev continued its work in the international field.

The delegations from Belarusian National Technical University, ICANN, “Cadence Design Systems”, “ESNA AS”, Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant, etc. visited Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev in order to discuss collaboration development.

The agreements with Belarusian State University and Tashkent State Technical University named after Islam Karimov on educational and scientific cooperation were concluded.

According to previously concluded agreements on execution of higher educational networking programs 43 exchange students came from abroad to NNSTU and 20 exchange students from NNSTU went abroad.

NNSTU hosted many online events and conferences. One of the most important events - III Forum of Russian-Chinese University Alliance of the Volga Federal District and the Upper and Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River was held online. It was organized by its co-founders - Sichuan University and Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev. The Forum was devoted to topical issues of further development of inter-university cooperation in the post-epidemic period.

The number of NNSTU international staff was 4.

The new master's program «Small Nuclear Power Plants» in English was opened for international students.

In 2020 there were 289 international students at NNSTU from Azerbaijan, Algeria, Angola, Egypt, Jordan, Iraq, Yemen, Kazakhstan, China, Congo, Lebanon, Morocco, Moldova, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkey, Uzbekistan, Ecuador, etc.
