The first NNSTU graduates of the English-language master's program

For the first time at Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev the defense of the final qualification works of the foreign students of the English-language master's program took place.

Three graduates from Sudan, Rwanda and Turkey successfully defended their master's theses before the State Examination Commission. They were accepted for learning in 2020 and were trained under the master's program "Small and Medium Power Nuclear Power Plants", implemented as a part of the training area 14.04.01 "Nuclear Power Engineering and Thermal Physics".

The theme of the graduation works was in the field of the most relevant and promising projects of small and medium power nuclear power plants which makes it possible to realize the need for flexible power generation for a wide range of interested countries. The technology offers solutions for remote regions with less developed infrastructure and possibilities of creating synergistic hybrid energy systems that combine nuclear and alternative energy sources, including renewable energy sources.

The students demonstrated their readiness for research, design and development activities in the field of nuclear energy and got "excellent" marks.
