NNSTU young researcher took part in CIGRE session in Paris

Associate Professor of NNSTU Department of Power Engineering, Power Supply and Power Electronics Anton Loskutov took part in the session of the International Council on Large Electric Systems (Conseil International des Grands Réseaux Electriques - CIGRE) in Paris.

Russian delegation from the youth section of Russian National Committee (RNC) CIGRE included six young scientists from different parts of Russia.

Anton Loskutov presented the main and poster report on the topic "The Use of Machine Learning and Artificial Neural Networks to Recognition of Turning Faults in Power Transformers".

The study is devoted to improving efficiency of protection of power transformers from coil faults inside transformers using neural network algorithms and is one of the special cases of development of new methods and algorithms for intelligent electronic control devices, protection and automation of electric power networks.

The project of Anton Loskutov was selected by the world leading experts and was highly appreciated by the international community. In total, 32 studies of the young scientists from different countries were presented.

CIGRE RNC delegates took part in the international youth forum, seminars and round tables. Besides, the youth stand was organized at CIGRE technical exhibition.
