November 25 - 26, 2021 HACKATOM BULGARIA organized by the office of ROSATOM in Central Europe was held online. During the first day some representatives of Russian universities including senior lecturer of NNSTU Department of Nuclear Reactors and Power Plants Denis Doronkov gave lectures to Hackatom participants.
Next day two student teams from Sofia University and two student teams from Sofia Technical University, as well as one team of schoolchildren from the Professional Gymnasium of Nuclear Energy in Kozloduy took part in the competition to develop software products aimed at popularizing nuclear energy among young people.
The program for generating thematic crosswords, the interactive program for testing knowledge, the site for hosting similar testing programs - these are just some of the areas of practical implementation of the assignment received by the participants. They needed to develop websites or programs that would allow users to get acquainted with peculiarities of electricity generation at various types of power plants in the interactive mode, test their knowledge of advantages and disadvantages of various methods of generating electrical energy.
The work was judged by the international jury including Prof. Vyacheslav Andreev - Head of NNSTU Department of Nuclear Reactors and Power Plants.
