NNSTU Rector Prof. Dmitriev attended the gala reception at the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in the Russian Federation to mark the launch of the Russia-China Years of Education. The leaders of the two countries had decided to hold these years in 2026 and 2027.
The Embassy opened the photo exhibition "Cooperation of China and Russia in the Field of Education: Past and Present" dedicated to development of academic ties between the two countries. The exhibition featured over 60 photographs, reflecting key stages of this collaboration.
Those who shape the Russian-Chinese educational dialogue gathered for the exhibition opening: diplomats, heads of relevant ministries and rectors of leading universities.
At the subsequent press conference it was noted that bilateral academic mobility between Russia and China reached a record high, approaching 100,000 people creating the world's largest inter-university network, 16 associations of specialized universities were established, uniting over 800 institutions and over 150 joint educational programs were created.
