NNSTU Rector Prof. Dmitriev took part in the IV International Business Forum "SPROUTS" in Kazan. The Forum brought together different representatives of federal and regional governments from Russia and China, numerous executives of major companies, business associations and development institutions, as well as a lot of academics and experts.
The goal of the event was to strengthen trade, economic, scientific, technical, social and cultural ties between Russia and China and provide its participants with some platform for finding partners and launching joint projects.
Sergey Dmitriev participated in the session "Educational and Scientific Cooperation between Russia and China: New Projects and Development Trends" organized by Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University. The report was devoted to University Alliance "Volga-Yangtze" and its role in development of Russian-Chinese educational and scientific collaboration. The participants discussed mechanisms needed to create joint laboratories and research centers, how to combine scientific expertise of universities in both countries to address global technological challenges and how to engage young scientists and students in joint projects.
