NNSTU presented its educational programs on nuclear technologies to the IAEA

In July, 2023 the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) technical meeting dedicated to educational programs was held in Vienna. NNSTU young employees Anton Ryazanov and Alexander Dobrov took part in it.

The meeting was attended by numerous representatives of 29 states from all the continents. The participants included the members of the international nuclear education networks established under the auspices of the IAEA: STAR-NET, AFRA-NEST, ENEN, ANENT, LANENT, INSTA. Besides, the meeting was attended by the representatives of different higher educational institutions, supervisory authorities in the field of nuclear technologies, as well as enterprises of the nuclear industry, including the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom.

The event was devoted to peculiarities of organizing educational activities in the field of nuclear technologies in various regions, exchange of advanced experience and best practices and organization of interaction between universities and nuclear enterprises. In addition, prospects for international cooperation in the field of nuclear education and research activities were discussed.

Anton Ryazanov made the presentation "Education through Science. NPPs with SMR and HTGR", where he introduced NNSTU experience of teaching foreign students in the field of nuclear technologies, including their involvement in research facilities. NNSTU experience of preparing advanced training courses for foreign specialists in the nuclear industry developed jointly with the State Atomic Energy Corporation Rosatom was also presented.
