Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University was included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025 by Subject: Engineering, compiled by the influential British magazine Times Higher Education.
The new ranking features a record number of universities - 2,092, which is 9.7% more than last year and is the largest increase in the last five years.
The methodology is designed to assess numerous universities across 11 subject areas, using the improved version of the overall 2025 World University Rankings methodology. Using the same set of 18 performance indicators, grouped into five core pillars, THE provides the comprehensive view of academic and research excellence. The methodology is carefully tailored for each subject, ensuring fairness and accuracy, while taking into account research and publication practices in specific fields.
Every year the ranking evaluates different universities around the world and helps students to choose the best universities abroad. According to experts, any university in the ranking can be considered first-class and can be safely chosen to study abroad.
