NNSTU n.a. R.E. Alekseev entered the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 by Subject: Engineering

Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University was included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 by Subject: Engineering.

Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University retained its position in the group of 1001+ in the engineering field.

The ranking is compiled annually in 11 areas based on official statistics and university data. It evaluates their performance on 13 criteria grouped into five categories, drawing on the analysis of 15.5 million research publications and 121 million citations to those publications, as well as more than 40,000 responses to the annual Academic Reputation Survey and hundreds of thousands of additional data covering the university's learning environment, international perspectives and industry connections.

The Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 by Subject: Engineering includes 1,374 universities (compared to 1,306 last year), including 57 Russian universities. It is based on the new WUR 3.0 methodology which includes 18 carefully calibrated performance indicators that measure performance in the areas of teaching, research environment, research quality, industry and international outlook.

This year's rankings analyzed more than 134 million citations from 16.5 million scientific publications and included survey responses from 68,402 scientists around the world. In total, 411,789 data points were collected from more than 2,673 institutions.

Every year the ranking evaluates universities around the world and helps students to choose the best universities abroad. According to experts, any university in the ranking can be considered first-class and can be safely chosen to study abroad.
