NNSTU joined the consortium "Russian-African Network University"

Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev became the first university in Nizhny Novgorod which joined the international consortium "Russian-African Network University" (RAfU). Its primary tasks are creation of the united educational and scientific space, elaboration of mechanisms for development of academic and student mobility, as well as assistance in the intercultural dialog. 

Today the consortium includes different Russian universities and research centers with wide experience in scientific and educational cooperation with the countries of the African continent.

RAfU educational model will work as a pool of courses and disciplines available to the consortium members in Russian, English and French. The same courses will form the basis of joint educational programs.

Such an approach to implementation of the educational progress will help to build an individual trajectory of filling and choosing programs in natural science, technical, humanitarian, administrative-managerial and socio-economic areas. It will give students opportunities to receive bachelor, specialist and master degrees from several members of the consortium.

To implement these tasks, it is planned to develop its own educational electronic platform which will give organizational, methodical and informational support for educational programs. Besides, RAfU will coordinate organization and conducting of joint scientific events, project and grant activity, expeditions and scientific and technical work.

Today many representatives of African countries study at Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev. The cooperation with RAfU will help to make education at NNSTU even more attractive for them, as well as establish new ties with numerous foreign universities and industrial partners.

The key areas of cooperation between NNSTU n.a. R.E. Alekseev and RAfU will be IT-technologies, energy, mining, ecology.
