NNSTU is included in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings

On September 27, 2023 the 20th anniversary edition of the global ranking of the best universities in the world the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2024 was published.

Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University again entered the Times Higher Education World University Rankings, maintaining its position among the best Russian and foreign universities.

This time competition among the ranking participants intensified: the compilers ranked 2,673 universities, of which 1,904 from 108 countries were included in the final version. THE significantly changed the ranking methodology, in particular, the number of indicators was increased - there are now 18 instead of 13 previously used, which measure the university’s effectiveness. The Times Higher Education evaluates universities according to 18 indicators, grouped in 5 areas: Teaching (the learning environment); Research (volume, income and reputation); Research quality (citation impact, research strength, research excellence and research influence); International outlook (staff, students and research); Industry (income and patents). The ranking uses the Scopus bibliometric database, surveys of international experts and the other sources.
