Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev hosted the X city interuniversity football and ping-pong competition among foreign students, dedicated to the anniversary of the university.
8 universities from Nizhny Novgorod took part in the tournament, the teams included the foreign students from 30 countries.
NNSTU Vice-rector Kirill Goncharov welcomed the participants and opened the competition.
The teams entered the fight for victory in the competition which were divided into two groups.
According to the rules of the tournament, the teams that took the first places in the group advanced to the final and competed for the 1st and 2nd places. The teams that took second place in the group played for the 3rd place.
The football winners were:
The 1st place - Privolzhsky Research Medical University;
The 2nd place - Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev;
The 3rd place - Nizhny Novgorod State Agrotechnological University.
The students from Egypt and China won the ping-pong competition.
