NNSTU entered QS EECA University Rankings 2022

The British agency Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) published the annual rankings of world universities - QS Emerging Europe and Central Asia (EECA) University Rankings 2022.

Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev entered the rankings of the best universities in the world for the first time, taking a place in group 351 - 400.

The methodology of QS EECA rankings differs from the global one and includes criteria such as "the visibility on the Internet" - it is calculated on the basis of the Webometrics Ranking of World Universities and shows online presence of the university. The other unique indicator "the international research network" assesses the level of international collaboration in research activities of the university, it is calculated based on data from Scopus and Margalef’s index.

It also takes into account such parameters as the ratio of the number of lecturers to the number of students (which demonstrates the quality of the educational process), the proportion of lecturers with a scientific degree, the number of citations per publication (excluding self-citation), the number of publications per one lecturer, as well as the proportion of foreign students and the proportion of foreign lecturers.
