October 19, 2023 Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev, which is rightfully considered the successor to Warsaw Polytechnic Institute of Emperor Nicholas II, founded in 1898, celebrated its 125th anniversary.
The prologue to the solemn event which took place in the concert hall of the cultural center "Warehouses" was a video film about the glorious pages of the history of the oldest university in Nizhny Novgorod.
The extended meeting of NNSTU Academic Council was attended by Deputy Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District Mr. Alexey Kuzmitsky, Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Russian Federation Mrs. Olga Petrova, leadership of the Nizhny Novgorod region, representatives of regional executive and legislative authorities, heads of academic, industrial and scientific partner organizations.
During the festive event, a large group of NNSTU lecturers and staff was presented with certificates of honor and letters of gratitude from authorities, departmental and industry awards.
The gala evening ended with the performance by members of the university’s student associations and the polytechnic anthem.
