The delegation of the Republican non-state public association of Uzbek citizens, graduates of Russian higher educational institutions visited Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev.
The meeting participants were unanimous in the opinion that one of the main areas of cooperation between two countries remains the sphere of higher education. Interaction between the Nizhny Novgorod region and Uzbekistan in scientific and educational sphere also affects, first of all, partnership at the level of higher education. More than 30 partnership agreements have already been signed between Nizhny Novgorod and Uzbek universities.
At the first meeting, held in Nizhny Novgorod about a year ago, general directions and areas of possible cooperation between the university and public organizations of Uzbekistan in the field of education and science were outlined.
At the new meeting, the intention was once again confirmed to expand cooperation between the parties in the field of training engineering personnel, to provide assistance to students from Uzbekistan and to create conditions for development of student tourism. Some specific ways to implement these intentions were discussed. In particular, options for NNSTU participation in the “Home with a Diploma” program which is designed to help citizens of Uzbekistan working in Russia to obtain higher education were considered.
The next meeting is expected to be held in one of the regions of Uzbekistan.
