NNSTU stepped into the new century of its history

October 12, 2017 there was a big festive evening in the Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Opera and Ballet Theater dedicated to the 100th anniversary of NNSTU n.a. R.E. Alekseev. The most famous persons of the region congratulated the basic university with the anniversary. The theatre hall was filled by NNSTU graduates of different years, lecturers, staff and students.

Rector of Brno University of Technology Professor Petr Štěpánek got the title of NNSTU Honorary Doctor

The diploma and mantle of NNSTU Honorary Doctor were presented to Rector of Brno University of Technology (Czech Republic) Petr Štěpánek at the meeting of NNSTU Academic Council on the 12th of September, 2017.

New horizons of NNSTU cooperation

NNSTU delegation headed by Rector Sergey Dmitriev visited "ACUTRONIC" company (Switzerland) which is a world leader in developing and manufacturing high-precision rotary movement stands.

The purpose of the visit was discussing further development of mutual cooperation.

July 11-12, 2017 delegation from Nuclear Power Institute of China (NPIC) visited Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev.

Agreement on establishment Russian-Chinese University Alliance of the Volga Federal District and the Upper and Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River

June 16, 2017 the second meeting of the Council for Cooperation between the Regions of the Volga Federal District and the Upper and Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River was held in Hefei (China). During the meeting the agreement on establishment Russian-Chinese University Alliance of the Volga Federal District and the Upper and Middle Reaches of the Yangtze River was signed by NNSTU Rector Professor Sergei Dmitriev and Rector of Sichuan University Professor Xie Heping.

NNSTU delegation visited China

June 4 – 7, 2017 NNSTU delegation visited China. Director of NNSTU Institute of Nuclear Energy and Technical Physics Alexander Khrobostov and Deputy Director Maxim Legchanov met with Beijing Ship Research Institute representatives. During the visit options for possible cooperation were discussed. Chinese colleagues were interested in NNSTU unique research base and joint scientific and technical work. The parties agreed to develop collaboration in different spheres.

NNSTU lecturers and students took part in the seminar of the leading scientist in the field of nondestructive material control Professor of Potsdam University (Germany) Giovanni Bruno.

Director of NNSTU Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering and Applied Physics took part in STAR-NET meeting

Director of NNSTU Institute of Nuclear Power Engineering and Applied Physics Alexander Khrobostov took part in the meeting of STAR-NET Regional Network "Education and Training of Specialists in the Field of Nuclear Technologies". The meeting of the representatives of the universities participating in the organization was held on April 20-21, 2017 in Minsk on the basis of Belarusian National Technical University.

Delegation from Vilnius College of Technologies and Design visited NNSTU

April 17 – 21, 2017 delegation from Vilnius College of Technologies and Design visited NNSTU.
The visit took place within the framework of European program Erasmus+ for financing international academic mobility which was jointly won by the educational institutions from Vilnius and Nizhny Novgorod.

Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev is the basic university

The Expert Council of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation determined the winners of the second stage of the competition for creating basic universities. Nizhny Novgorod State Technical University n.a. R.E. Alekseev is among 8 universities that will receive co-financing of the development programme at the federal level. The other 14 universities that are included in the second group will receive audit and expert support from the federal center and grants from the regional budgets.
